KEYBOARD AND AMP
Digital Grand piano with MIDI. Roland JC-120 or similar amplifier.
Leslie Speaker with Combo Pre Amp Pedal, OR a Wotion Sound Pro 3,
Hammond X-B2. Piano must have a stand.
2 GUITAR AMPS
Either Marshall, Mesa Boogie, Fender, Carvin, ect. tube amps. Please
make sure that the amps contain tubes that do not squeal, crackle or
distort prematurely. The amps must each have an operable effects loop.
BASS AMP
Either Gaiilen-Kreuger 800RB, Ampeg SVT (Tube) amps. Speakers to be
1-4x10 and 1-1x15 for G-K or 1-8x10 for Ampeg.
DRUMS
Five piece Ludwig kit with Hi-Hat, Ride and Crash cymbals and all
necessary
hardware including a throne. Kit to be in very good condition and set up
before sound check.
SOUND AND LIGHTING REQUIREMENTS
MONITOR SYSTEM
Professional on stage monitor system to include a minimum of 6 Discrete
mixes
to 6 floor wedges. Each mix must have a 1/3 octave equalizer and at
least 150
watts of power. The monitor desk should have at least 16 inputs and
there should be reverb available.
There will need to be a qualified engineer for the monitor mix position.
HOUSE SYSTEM
Professional F.O.H. Desk (Soundcraft, DDA, Ramsa, TAC) with a minimum
of 24 channels and 6 aux sends. Effects to include 4 Quality Digital
Reverbs and 1 Quality Digital Delay (Lexicon, AMS, Yamaha, no Alesis) 3
Patchable Quality Limiters (BSS, UREI, DBX) and 6 Quality Noise Gates
(DBX 900, Valley, Drawmer, Aphex). The Rig shall be in stereo, 3 or 4
way actively crossed over with 1/3 octave
EQ on the main F.O.H. mix. The rig shall be of a size appropriate for
the
venue to attain 105 Db SPL AT THE MIX POSITION. We would appreciate a
very low distortion system.
There will need to be a qualified engineer for the F.O.H. mix position.
HARDWARE AND MICS
9 short boom stands (instruments), 2 regular straight stands (front
vocals), 2 large base boom stands (drum and keyboard vocals), 3 regular
base boom stands (horn, bass and guitar vocals) and 4 quality active
direct boxes (bass, keys and wireless sax).
Microphones to consist of 7 matched condensers for vocals, 7 appropriate
quality instrument mics, and at least 1- 421 for the kick drum, as well
as condensers for hi-hat and overhead.
LIGHTING
Minimum 4x1k per side with a reasonable controller. Large venues will
require appropriate lighting.
